Slidell area public parks have plenty to offer. See below for frequently asked questions and details for more info.

Do you have to pay to use park pavilions?
In order to utilize the pavilions, a reasonable fee & refundable deposit is required.

We rented the pavilion for our party, but is alcohol allowed?
By City ordinance, a Slidell Police Officer must be present should alcohol be brought into the park.  If alcohol is being sold in the park, appropriate City and State permits must be obtained.

When do you turn on the splash pads at Heritage Park?
The splash pad at Heritage park runs from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.

Do you allow seafood boils in the park?
If you have rented a pavilion, an additional refundable deposit can be paid in order to have a seafood boil in all parks, with the exception of Heritage park where cooking is not allowed.

Where can I ask questions about/register my child for youth sports?
Basketball information can be found at www.slidellyouthbasketball.org.  Soccer information can be found at www.slidellsoccer.com.  Baseball information can be found at www.sbba.net.  Football and cheer information can be found at www.leagueline.com/syfa/.

Until the Camellia City Bark Park is completed, are dogs allowed in the other parks?
LEASHED dogs are allowed in all parks, with the exception of Heritage Park.  They are not allowed on the ball fields or in the playground areas.

Are inflatable bounce houses or water slides allowed in your parks?
With the rental of a pavilion, inflatable bouncehouses and water slides are allowed to be setup.  They must be plugged into a generator and insurance is required, listing The City of Slidell as additional insured.

Are your gymnasiums open to the public?
Gymnasiums are open to the public, Monday – Friday, from 7:30-3:30 PM.   Photo identification is required upon entrance.

Do all of your park pavilions have electricity?
Most of our pavilions have electricity, but there are a few  that do not.

Where can I find information on your Summer Camp program and when is registration?
Our registration for Summer Camp usually begins mid April.  You can contact our office at (985) 646-4371 for additional information.

Holiday’s in St. Tammany

Whether you’re craving an old-fashioned Christmas with Santa, the sweet sounds of a holiday concert or a dazzling display of twinkling lights Louisiana Northshore, St. Tammany Parish has plenty of ways to celebrate the season, just 40 minutes from New Orleans’ French Quarter.
